Didim Turkey
Didim gets its name from the ancient Didyma. Didim is the center of Altinkum Didim Region and it is only 15 minutes walk away from Altinkum beach. Didim town centre is located between the Apollo Temple and Altinkum, which is the beach resort, and is 3.5km from the coastal area and 1.5km from the Temple of Apollo.
All the legal offices, major supermarkets, banks and hospitals are located here.
As Didim is so well-situated in the 1980s people from big cities around Turkey, especially from Ankara, began to buy holiday homes, apartments, and villas in the area.
It would be interesting to walk around in Didim, as it is less touristic.. more local and
of course.. more authentic.
