Akbuk Didim Altinkum
Akbuk further round the coast from Altinkum is approx 15 to 20 minutes drive away, a quiet and peaceful area. It is an increasingly popular destination for foreigners because of its relaxed atmosphere, quiet beaches and stunning backdrop of mountain forests.
Once a small fishing village, Akbuk, only 15 km from Didim and on the way to Bodrum airport, is a place where Turkish traditions are still a part of daily life, thus enabling this small town to be such a beautiful place in which to live.
For nightlife, Akbuk features many bars, which are all set along the main Akbuk beach road. Here you can relax and enjoy the sounds of a live band playing traditional Turkish folk music.
If shopping is something high on your agenda, then Friday in Akbuk is market day. The market is fairly large, with the local farmers selling fresh fruit and vegetables cheese and yogurt.
